Who are the Friends of Spies Public Library?

The Friends of Spies Public Library is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organization that works to focus public attention on the Spies Public Library. Our purpose is to stimulate the use of the Library’s resources and services and to support and cooperate with the Library in developing Library services, facilities and programs for the community.

How do the Friends help the Library?

The Friends of Spies Public Library conduct a variety of fundraisers throughout the year including holding a Flea Market and perennial plant sale on the first Saturday in June. The Friends also sell Georgia Pecans over the holidays. The proceeds are used to support children’s programming. Funds are also generated by memberships.

How can I join?

If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the Spies Public Library, please fill out an application which can be printed from the Library’s web page or picked up at the Library. Annual dues are only $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family. The rewards of supporting the Library and making a difference in the community are priceless.

The Friends of Spies Public Library meet on the third Tuesday in January, March, May, September and November at 3:30 PM.
