Adult book clubs

Posted on

Here at Spies Library, we have 3 book clubs that are open to the public. These are the dates and times we will be meeting to discuss the books in August. Come check us out.  :@)

For the next few months, we are going to meet on the second Monday of each month and the second Tuesday of each month. Monday “The book was better” club will meet at its usually time of 1:30 pm. At the end of this club, we will start a second meeting at around 2:30 pm for “Novel ideas” where each person can give a short description of a book that they have read and would like to recommend to the group. Just a little information about the author or if the book is part of a series or maybe a debut book, whatever you like. This has proven to be a really neat group with lots of great ideas. The books we will be discussing are “Cajun Justice” by: James Patterson on August 12th at 1:30 pm and “Animal Farm” by: George Orwell on August 13th at 11:00 am.
If you would like a copy of either or both books and if you have any questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions please feel free to give Mary a call at the library at 906-863-3911.
